The National Service Scheme (NSS) is an Indian government-sponsored public service program conducted by the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports of the Government of India. Popularly known as NSS, the scheme was launched in Gandhiji's centenary year (1969) and aims at developing student's personality through community service.
At Saket College, the NSS unit is actively engaged in various community service activities, social awareness campaigns, and development programs that benefit both students and society at large.
The NSS unit at Saket College conducts a wide range of activities focusing on community development, social awareness, and student personality development. Some of our key initiatives include:
Regular visits to nearby villages, conducting cleanliness drives, tree plantation, and helping underprivileged communities.
Organizing blood donation camps, health check-up camps, and awareness programs on various health issues.
Promoting environmental conservation through tree plantation, plastic-free campaigns, and water conservation awareness.
Promoting awareness about the importance of voting and democratic participation among students and communities.
7-day special camps in adopted villages where volunteers engage in intensive community service and rural development activities.
